Last weekend, we enjoyed one of our most favorite Halloween Family Traditions!
We were invited to celebrate the opening weekend of
Boo at the L.A. Zoo along with all the little witches, ghosts and skeletons that were ready for some wicked fun!
Throughout the entire month of October, the Los Angeles Zoo invites guests to partake in all of the spooktastic activities that are being offered during Boo at the L.A. Zoo. All of the Halloween themed activities are free with paid Zoo admission.
Costumes are not required, but definitely encouraged and let me tell you, my kids will never pass up an opportunity to wear their Halloween costumes as many times as possible before the big night! On our visit, we grabbed a map and made sure we hit up as many of the eerie exhibits as we could. Our first stop was the Spooky Stroll. We spent the most time here! The Spooky Stroll is full of fun and games for the entire family.
We played Tic-Tac-Toe with mini pumpkins!
We enjoyed the Boo Bag Toss!
I stopped for a quick photo with my friend Skully the Skeleton on the Haunted Seesaw!
The best part about Boo at the L.A. Zoo is that all of the regular zoo exhibits are open as usual. Once we finished the fearsome feedings and pumpkin carvings, we walked around the zoo and visited all of the amazing residents.
On weekends at the end of the month, the zoo kicks the frightful fun up a notch! Visit on October 20th, 21st, 27th & 28th for creepy crafts, roaming characters and Trick-or-Treat stations. For ticket prices and hours, visit https://www.lazoo.org/.
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I was invited to a Media Day in order to facilitate my review. These are just my two cents!
