Halloween Fun with Spooky Science!

Bring your little ghouls and goblins over to Discovery Cube Los Angeles for a howling dose of Spooky Science. This freakishly fun exhibit is loaded with giant bugs, creepy crawlers, friendly spooks and much more.

Get ready to explore bugs of all colors and sizes among over-sized exhibit sets and hands-on learning stations.

Daily learning stations include:

Phases of the Moon
Live Bugs Kiosk
Spiders vs. Insects

Phases of the Moon: The appearance of the Moon cycles through phases. Did you know that the Moon only reflects the Sun's light and doesn't emit a light of it's own? The relative position of the Sun to the Earth to the Moon is what makes us see the Moon phases.

Live Bugs Kiosk: Get up close and personal with some of the creepiest crawlies in town! Praying Mantis, Tarantulas & Scorpions...OH MY! How close is too close?

Spiders vs. Insects: Using live spiders and preserved spiders, you will compare and contrast the determining characteristics of a spider and a typical insect to understand why they are grouped into different classes of animals.

During the weekends, Spooky Science will host different events all month long! You won't want to miss activities like:

Monster Mash Parade
Thor's Bug Safari
Dr. Sue's Traveling Insects and Arthropod Zoo
Rat and Mouse Club of America
