First up on our visit was the Animal Grossology exhibit. This exhibit will run until September 7th, 2015 and is just oozing with disgusting science and interactive learning games. My kids absolutely loved this Barf-tastic exhibit! The kids got to meet Malcolm, the Animal Grossology mascot, they participated in a live show on the Discovery Stage, climbed aboard a submarine and much, much more!
Parker was most excited to jump into the Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog exhibit located downstairs next to the Bean Sprouts Café and gift shop. This exhibit is also here for the Summer months and will run until September 7th, 2015. It looked just like the books I used to read to him when he was younger. Complete with Clifford, his dog house, a boat to sail, cooking, watering the flowers, a musical area and so much more. I couldn't get him out of here to keep exploring!
Next up was the awesome LA Kings Science of Hockey exhibit. This entire exhibit was hands on and filled with interactive games for kids and adults. Jackson couldn't wait to give hockey a try. He played goalie and took a turn shooting the puck at a virtual goalie.
We spent the rest of the day trying to explore the entire museum. We took a ride on a helicopter, we journeyed under water, went rock climbing, tested our strength, inspected a house and practiced recycling.
One of their most favorite exhibits at Discovery Cube LA was shopping at the Discovery Market! They couldn't get enough of this place. Each shopping cart has a built-in game that leads our little shoppers on a healthy shopping spree.
"Grab your cart, aim your scanner and zoom through the aisles in this exciting grocery store game. Learn the importance of making healthy and Earth-friendly choices when you shop. Are you up for the challenge?"
Of course, I had to get in on all the fun! I challenged my kids to see who could complete their list and make it up on the Super Shoppers wall!
