Fandango Family: Big Hero 6 Review!

Disney's Big Hero 6 recently released in theaters and we jumped at the chance to attend a screening of this family film. The movie takes place in a city called San Fransokyo, where a young Robotics prodigy, named Hiro, lives with his older brother, Tadashi, and their Aunt. Hiro's brother invents a robot, named Baymax, whose sole purpose is to take care of people.

We absolutely loved the film! We laughed, we cried, we laughed again and found ourselves on the edge of our seats. After the film, my kids all stood up and declared "Big Hero 6 is the best movie of 2014!".

It was no surprise who the star of the film was...Baymax! Baymax instantly stole our hearts with his warm and innocent demeanor. In fact, we loved Baymax so much that I decided to keep the party going at home by surprising my kids with a Big Hero 6 themed after school celebration. I came up with a couple of fun snacks for them to enjoy while they colored Big Hero 6 coloring pages and listened to the film soundtrack.

First up was Baymax Cupcakes! They were so quick and easy to prepare. The Baymax Cupcakes were a HUGE hit with my kids!

Baymax Cupcakes:

Red Velvet Cake Mix (follow instructions on the box)
Cream Cheese Frosting
Large Marshmallows
Black Cake Gel

Of course, they needed a refreshing beverage to help wash down the delicious cupcakes. What could be better than a glass of Honey Lemon-ade?!?!

Honey Lemon-ade:

Pink Lemonade
Honey
Lemon Slices

We couldn't celebrate a great movie without popcorn and it couldn't be just any popcorn. I made what I called Hiro's Mix!

Hiro's Mix:

Popcorn
Jelly Beans
Mini Chocolate Chips
