On September 6th, LeapFrog set out to break a world record to help kids get up and get active with their latest gadget made just for kids. The new LeapBands are wearable activity trackers that encourage kids to get active with customizable virtual pet pals. LeapBands are water resistant bands that promote healthy habits for kids ages 4-7 years old and come in a variety of colors such as blue, green and pink. On September 6th, Soccer Star Mia Hamm along with more than 300 kids and parents became Guinness World Records record holders for most people hopping on one foot, most people making sand angels and most people doing the swim dance at a special Fit Made Fun beach event in Santa Monica. We couldn't make it out to the event on September 6th, but we did celebrate the new world record with our very own Fit Made Fun Party!
Thanks to our friends at LeapFrog and CLIF Kid, we were able to let a group of kids ages 4-5 years old try out the new LeapBands for themselves and enjoy some delicious CLIF Kid Zbars. Zbars are an organic baked whole grain snack made with a nutritious blend of carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and fat to maintain kids' energy.
We took our "Fit Made Fun Party" outside and got the kids together to set a few records of our own. The kids were so excited to see how long they could hop on one foot. They were laughing and having so much fun.
The kids worked up quite an appetite getting active outside and hopping on one foot. It was the perfect time to pull out the CLIF Kid Z Bars and refuel. My son loved the chocolate chip bar!
We took the party inside for some Pet Pad Action Bingo. The kids had to perform the action described on the action cards and locate the matching space on their bingo cards. It was a lot of fun and everyone had a blast.
