Serious Food...Outrageous Fun at Dave & Busters in Arcadia!

As close as I am to a Dave & Busters, I have never thought about getting in there and checking it out because, let's face it, I rarely get out without my children and I was under the impression that it was more geared towards the older crowd. I was so mistaken! We recently headed down to Arcadia to visit the newly remodeled Dave & Busters located in the Santa Anita Mall. This place is awesome! New look, new menu items and new games...what more could you ask for? We visited at the perfect time. It was a Sunday and we arrived just in time to catch the 49ers game. I don't have to tell you how happy my husband was to spend his Sunday watching his favorite sport, eating great food and playing with his kids all under one roof...Score!!!

On their menu I noticed some items were marked as FAVES and some were NEW. I wanted to try a little of both because depending on how good the food was, we were probably going to be come regular customers. I can't play somewhere that I can't eat. I took a picture of every item we ordered and I can honestly tell you, every single dish was perfect. Ten out of ten! 5 stars!

FAVE: Bar Burgers & Wings Platter

Sunday Game Day Bites $5: Huddle O' Nachos

Peppercorn Sirloin Steak served with Loaded Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Crispy Frazzled Onions

NEW: Bacon Wrapped Sirloin Medallions & Grilled Shrimp served with Roasted Vegetable Medley, New Potatoes & Basil Bruschetta

New: Chicken & Waffles! Chicken tenders coated in Lay's potato chip crust, topped with country gravy and served on Belgian Waffles

These are two very happy, food loving, kids!

After our amazing meal, I decided to take the kids to check out their huge Midway of games. Our game cards were burning a hole in our pockets! There are so many different games to choose from. Ticket winners, shooters, trivia, ride-ons, puzzles, apps and so much more. We were there for hours and still didn't get to play every game in the place. Perfect excuse to go back soon. My kids favorite thing to do was win tickets. These machines don't just give you 5 or 10 tickets. They spit out 40, 100 and more. My youngest hot a jackpot and won 240 tickets all by himself. When it was time to redeem their tickets they all started screaming their heads off off because it wasn't just a small counter in the corner, it was a full blown redemption store! I'm not even exaggerating. You enter a store and literally shop 'til you drop!

By now our desserts had arrived at our table and we totally needed to sit down and recharge. We ordered the Banana Foster Pie, New York Cheesecake topped with strawberries and the Belgian Chocolate Fondue. My kids jumped head first into the Belgian Chocolate Fondue and didn't come up for air. It was the most peaceful dessert experience I have ever had. I was able to enjoy a nice cup of coffee with my Banana Foster Pie without any interruptions. This never happens!

No Family dinner can possibly be pleasant if you don't have an amazing server making all the magic happen! Don't ever underestimate the importance of a great server. We lucked out when we got Carissa! She was so awesome with our kids and never stopped smiling no matter how many times they asked for refills, ketchup, ranch, their 10th fork, more chocolate and the list goes on! No matter what craziness the kids threw at her, she just laughed and kept everyone happy. Do you know how rare this is? Family friendly dining with kid friendly servers...WINNING!!! Thank you so much Carissa for making our night so memorable. We'll be back soon and the kids will ask for you personally...maybe I should give you a heads up so you can call in sick?!?!

See how I made them pose by the 49ers flag?!?! OH YA!!!

A little Dave & Busters FYI: This football season, Dave & Busters will be attending every USC home game to allow fans a chance to sample their delicious food and get their hands on a couple Midway games. Check the USC game schedule here and enjoy!

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I was invited to sample new menu items and new games in order to facilitate my review. These are just my two cents!

  1. Oh my gosh I've been drooling over the pictures I've been seeing of the new menu! And my kids would love to play there for hours I'm sure...while I pig out!

  2. I love Dave and Busters, but the closest one is pretty far. Good to know they have new menu items! I love the idea of chicken and waffles!
