Halloween Horror Nights 2013 at Universal Studios!

Shriek! Last weekend was my first time attending Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios and it definitely will NOT be my last! I had the pleasure of attending on opening night and it was a cool and creepy event. We started out by walking a blood red carpet until we arrived at an amazing dessert display overlooking our entrance into Halloween Horror Nights. It was so awesome to hear the screaming and chilling sounds of the park while we safely enjoyed little bite-sized treats from behind an iron gate. My husband was my date for this frightening evening so we decided to go inside the private event and partake in the ghoulish festivities. Inside the event we found ourselves instantly transported to the eerie bayou of Louisiana. We were surrounded by incredible scenery that only Universal Studios could provide. Of course, the theme wouldn't be complete without Creole cuisine. I was so impressed to see so many of our favorite dishes!

It was finally time to suck it up and enter the darkness that is Halloween Horror Nights! I had stalled long enough...there was nothing left to eat! Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from inside Halloween Horror Nights:

 

At the end of the night I forced myself to grow a spine and at least get through the House of Horrors maze. As fun as it is to just walk around the park and take in all of the horror, I would have been disappointed in myself if I didn't at least try. I confirmed with an employee that there were numerous emergency exits in case I needed to run for my life!
