The first 3 books that are currently available face our children's most common phobias. The fear of the dark, the fear of heights and the fear of water.
Did My Owl Just Growl?
In this book we discover how a child's vivid imagination can stir up all the feelings of anxiety and fright that are caused by the unknown in the darkest corners of their bedrooms. We find our friend the Blue Owl and follow him on a journey to learn about life at night and all the good things we miss when we're afraid to look with our Owl Eyes!
Climb the Monkey Bars? That's Bananas!
In this book we learn what the fear of heights might feel like for our child. We meet the nice, old, Purple Gorilla and feel at ease with his wisdom and calming words. Nothing is impossible if we believe in ourselves. One step at a time, relax and have fun! With practice, anything is possible.
Hold Your SeaHorses! Water is the Worst!
In this book we are reminded how a child's fear can turn what would be a wonderful family fun day into a very difficult and emotional day for that child. Just when we think we're in trouble, we're saved by a friendly Green SeaHorse wearing goggles. She takes us on an adventure to a magical place hidden far from the sun. She shows us that with baby steps and trust, we can conquer any fear.
Each one of my children has experienced each of the above fears at one time or another and these books have really helped them face their fears. There is definitely a sense of accomplishment when a child takes on their fears full steam ahead and becomes victorious. We are looking forward to more books from Fobie Friends!

I am giving away this adorable lavender t-shirt featuring our friend, the Blue Owl to help your kiddo take on the dark! It's a size XS (2-4) and it's yours as soon as you tell me about the fears you've experienced in your home. Please leave your email info in the comments section below.
