Family Fun for Easter: Just a Few of the Easter Happenings I Could Find!

My kids love a good Easter Egg Hunt and with Easter quickly approaching, I wanted to share this list of some amazing Easter Happenings going on in the So Cal area. The hard part is trying to figure out which one to attend! Happy Hunting!

Los Encinos Easter Egg Hunt: Encino, March 30th

Join the Los Encinos Docents Association at Los Encinos State Historic Park for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Admission is free. Donations of any amount are welcome. This is our most popular event; a tradition for decades. In addition to the Egg Hunts for ages from toddlers to 10, we will have traditional games, a blacksmith, and old-time music, tours of the historic adobe and performers in period costume. Please bring your own baskets. Consider packing a picnic lunch and spending the day with the family at the park!
 

Knott's Berry Bloom: Buena Park, March 23rd-April7th

Knott’s Berry Farm, where fun is always growing, will be celebrating the coming of spring in a BIG way with live entertainment, interactive games and food and wine events starting March 23rd. From Ghost Town to the Boardwalk the park will be alive with new activities and décor for the entire family creating a park-wide experience that welcomes the new season. The Search for the Easter Beagle will have kids (3-11) scurrying across the park to find images of the famous beagle. All participants who complete the quest have a chance to win egg-mazing giveaways. Looking for a little friendly competition? Then head over to Knott’s Boardwalk area for the big game, the Big Boardwalk Board Games that is. It’s family game night to the extreme as everyone becomes oversized game pieces in some of their favorite board games. From dominoes to tick-tack-toe – it’s game on!

Kidspace Children's Museum: Pasadena, March 31st

Hundreds of candy-filled eggs will be hidden throughout the Kidspace Gardens just waiting to be found! At 10:00 am there will be a member's only, all-ages hunt. Children under 4 years old will hunt at 11:00 am. Children between 5 and 10 years old will start at 12:30 pm. The 2:00 pm egg hunt is open to all-ages. Egg Hunts are $4.00 per child, plus museum admission and includes a basket to hold the eggs.

Los Angeles Zoo: Los Angeles, March 29th-31st

Big Bunny's Spring Fling is an annual event that features a slew of fun activities—pet a fuzzy bunny, have your face painted, make a be-a-bunny craft, have your photo taken with Big Bunny (for a nominal fee), and enjoy children’s musical entertainment. This event is included in the cost of admission.

The Arboretum: Arcadia, March 30th

Join us for an EGG-ceptional Celebration for kids of all ages! From 10am-2pm the kids can enjoy the Egg Scramble and Egg-Expedition. Make and take activities, refreshments and prizes. Regular Arboretum admission fees apply. Members free. $3 suggested donation.

Easter Hoppening: Malibu, March 30th

Malibu Bluffs Park (24250 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu) 11:30 am-1:30 pm
Free egg hunt for children ages 1-10 includes special prizes and begins at noon.
Please bring a basket and camera. Arts and crafts, bounce houses*, face painting*, photos with the Easter Bunny, Hui Hui Shaved Ice*, Stop Guac & Roll Food Truck*, Baby's Burgers Food Truck*, cartooning with Larry Scott, photo booth, and more! *fee involved

Bunny Brunch at American Girl Place: Los Angeles, March 30th


Visit The Grove from 9am-10am and share a delightful springtime brunch with your girl at American Girl Place, where she can meet The Grove's own Easter Bunny right in the store! Bring your camera to capture the moment. Tickets are $22 per person. Please note, prepaid event reservations are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Aquarium of the Pacific Easter Brunch: Long Beach, March 31st

You can enjoy an elegant Easter brunch and a day at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Your whole family can delight in meeting over 11,000 animals and sitting down to a gourmet brunch on this special holiday. From 10:30am-1:30pm. $48 per adult (12+), $38 per child (3-11), includes admission to the Aquarium.

Eggstravaganza at Grape Arbor Park: Calabasas, March 30th

Join us from 10am-12pm for free egg hunts and prizes. (Bring your own baskets) Free petting zoo, games, crafts and so much more! Take your picture with the Easter Bunny for a nominal fee.


Underwood Family Farms: Moorpark, March 29th-31st



Come celebratean Easter Eggs-Travaganza at Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Easter weekend admission is $6 and children under 2 are free. Easter activities will take place in the grass field behind the Animal Center. The Animal Show & Tractor-Drawn Wagon Ride are included with admission. Cameras are encouraged!
