Catal Restaurant in Downtown Disney

Last week my husband and I had the wonderful opportunity of attending a very special event at Catal Restaurant located in Downtown Disney. Catal is one of many restaurants owned by the Patina Restaurant Group. We were so excited not only to be out on a date without our children for the first time in who knows how long, but to be able to sample dishes from Catal's amazing Mediterranean menu.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Red and White Sangrias. I am a huge fan of Sangria, but not all attempts at Sangria are successful. I can easily tell you that the Red Sangria served by Catal Restaurant is by far the BEST Sangria I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I will definitely be popping in, every time I visit Downtown Disney, for a glass of Red Sangria. I am actually wishing I had a glass right now as I am writing this. They also have an extended Wine List that offers a wide variety of vintages.

Driving from the San Fernando Valley to Anaheim on a weeknight was a bit difficult, but it was well worth it after pairing my Red Sangria with their savory Paella Bogavante made with one pound of lobster and chorizo de Bilbao. I also sampled a few different cheeses and couldn't keep up with the variety of Tapas making their way around the room. I stepped out onto the balcony overlooking Uva Bar and Downtown Disney. The view was just amazing and the balcony was the perfect spot to sit with friends and enjoy our Sangrias with some conversation and the sounds of Downtown Disney in the background.

My husband and I had such a good time, we've decided to make it a point to get out alone more often and Catal Restaurant will always be at the very top of our Date Night list!

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I was invited to a private event in order to facilitate my review. These are just my two cents!
