Boy OH Boy has my bucket list shortened!!! Not only did I get to play Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two before anyone else, but I met and briefly chatted about video games with Warren Spector! Yes! I did! AND, as if that wasn't enough to make you hate me...I went on a tour of Disneyland with some of my favorite people, stood in Walt Disney's private apartment above Main Street AND had the dinner of my dreams at the famous and uberly exclusive Club 33! SHUT UP! No Way! I Know!!! Okay, so here's how it all went down.
The Meet & Greet at Disney Grand Californian Hotel:
The first stop on my EPIC Adventure was Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I met up with my favorite Disney peeps, bloggers and gamers for a special presentation of Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. We heard all about new worlds, new features and some amazing new surprises in store. Warren Spector, VP of Junction Point, walked us through two new worlds that are just visually amazing. I have so
much respect for Warren Spector. We had a chance to chat briefly over coffee and I was able to Thank him for staying true to classic gaming with Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. My all time favorite video game is Fantasia on Sega Genesis from 1991. It took me an entire Summer to beat it, but I beat it and was so proud of myself. When I mentioned Fantasia to Mr. Spector, his response was, "Oh my God!". He knew exactly what game I was talking about and in that moment...we bonded for life! I am looking forward to my journey through Rainbow Caverns and Rainbow Falls next month with my friends Mickey and Oswald. There are so many exciting features that I can't quite share yet, but I can tell you that Epic Mickey 2 will blow your mind!
After the presentation we had the opportunity to play Epic Mickey 2. I jumped on the XBOX version! Yes, I said XBOX! Epic Mickey 2 will release on ALL platforms! I worked up an appetite and enjoyed some of the yummy treats they had set up for us. Of course, I had to take some fun photos too.
The Tour of Disneyland with Warren Spector:
At this point I had already experienced so much, but then the wonderful folks at Disney Interactive told us to prepare for our special tour of Disneyland. Little did I know that I was going to be "Walking in Walt's Footsteps"! We met up with our wonderful tour guide in the park and were immediately transported back in time to the days when Walt Disney walked around his park imagining the future and creating a world that would last forever. What happened next seems like a dream, but I have proof that it really did occur...I entered Walt & Lillian Disney's private apartment overlooking Main St.! Yes, I stood there in their living room and took in all of the history and magic! After our emotional visit to Walt's apartment, we took a trip down Main St. and stopped at the Enchanted Tiki Room. We learned a few fun facts about how this amazing room came to be and stayed to enjoy the show. Would you believe that this was my very first time in the Enchanted Tiki Room? I can't wait to bring my kids! I enjoyed the tour so much. We all laughed together and shared our common love for Disney. I never thought I would become a pin collector, but after we had completed the amazing tour of Disneyland, we each received very special pins that I will cherish forever.

The Team Dinner at Club 33:
As if all of this wasn't enough to make a Disney Fanatic's Day...things got even Bigger & Better! We found ourselves standing in front of the door to Club 33! My heart was in my throat! I couldn't believe that I was about to pass through this door and finally see what awaited on the other side. I only wish that my husband could've been there with me. The first thing I did was step out onto the balcony. The view was amazing! It took me a moment to take it all in and compose myself. Once seated, I looked around and was surrounded by so much Disney history and elegance. My table was the fun table! I dined with the Disney Sisters, their Mom, Tee Burgess from That's It Mommy and Paul Weaver, Director of Product Development at Junction Point Studios. Our meal was delicious from start to finish. Great conversation, great people, great stories and the greatest location of all! During dinner we discovered our reason for dining at Club 33. In Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, there is a Club 13 inspired by the famous Club 33. When it comes to Disney and Gaming, every little detail counts and nothing is ever ordinary.
This was by far the best gaming event I have ever attended. I had the chance to do all of my favorite things in the same day...play video games, play in Disneyland & eat! Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will forever be so much more than just another video game for me. It will be a reminder of so many wonderful memories made with so many wonderful people. I have to THANK my favorite peeps for having me at this event! TB, DR, DS, KH, SS & KE! You all make up such an awesome Team and I am so happy to be a part of your adventures! XOXO
