October is KIDS FREE Month at San Diego Zoo & Safari Park

This is just one of those things that makes FALL such a much welcomed season:

OCTOBER IS "KIDS FREE" AT SAN DIEGO ZOO AND SAN DIEGO ZOO SAFARI PARK

WHAT:
During the month of October, the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park offer free admission to all children 11 years old and younger. The San Diego Zoo was founded in October 1916 and Kids Free, honors this historic event.

For 2012, Mission Fed is proud to present this annual event, which has been a tradition at the Zoo for 27 years and this is the fifth year the Safari Park has participated in the program.
The Zoo and Safari Park offer the chance to observe amazing creatures, experience a fun day with family and learn what needs to be done to save animals from extinction. To make a visit to the Zoo and Safari Park more interactive, families can pick up a list of “101 Things To Do” and check off activities during their visit.
Weekend visitors to Kids Free at the Zoo and Safari Park will experience even more kid-friendly activities with additional animal meet-and-greets, keeper talks, activity booths and costume character appearances. There’s even a chance to participate in the Camp Critters show at the Zoo or to “race” a cheetah at the Safari Park! For more details about Kids Free, please visit www.sandiegozoo.org
