Summer Fun with Watermelon: Part V

By now you're probably thinking, "how many more watermelon posts does she have?". I can do this all Summer! Today's post turns our snack time into craft time. We made melon racers!

All you need is:

Watermelon
Celery
Melon baller
Toothpicks

My kids really had fun with this one! I handed them each a plate with the tools needed to make the perfect melon racer. I showed them how to slowly push two toothpicks through the celery. Then they put all four melon wheels on all by themselves. After about ten minutes of "vrooming" and "beeping", they were ready to eat their crafty treats. Fun & Yum!
