Summer Fun with Watermelon: Part IV

Today's fun with watermelon involved one of my favorite kitchen toys...a melon baller! Who doesn't love little balls of refreshing watermelon? I decided to serve my kids a pint sized snack that I thought would be perfect for their tiny hands. Fresh watermelon juice with melon ball hors d'oeuvres!

All you need is:

Watermelon
Melon baller
Tiny plastic cups
Colorful toothpicks
1 straw

Watermelon is a very juicy fruit and my kids love fresh watermelon juice. After scooping out a couple dozen melon balls, the juice of this tasty melon begins to fill in the rind. All I did was pour the juice directly from the melon into my tiny plastic cups. I took one straw and cut it into 3 small straws perfect for the kid-sized drinks. Colorful toothpicks make enjoying the melon balls more festive. My kid's love this snack because of it's fun, tiny size as well as it's yumminess!
