Mother's Day Weekend at Embassy Suites

I had the pleasure of spending my Mother's Day weekend with my family and the amazing staff at the Embassy Suites in La Jolla. We are huge fans of the Embassy Suites chain of Hilton hotels and the La Jolla location lived up to our Embassy Suites expectations. The Embassy Suites La Jolla is located directly across the street from the Westfield UTC. It was really nice to walk across the street and enjoy a little retail therapy while celebrating Mother's Day!

Shortly after we checked into our room, my kids were in their swimwear and running to the elevator. The La Jolla Embassy Suites has an indoor pool which is ideal for San Diego this time of year. My husband and I love taking the kids for a quick dip at the end of the day to wind them down and get them nice and sleepy so us adults can enjoy a movie and a late night snack. We were excited to see that we had the entire pool to ourselves!

After swimming, it was time for bed so, of course, the kids all jumped into our bed and watched television until they passed out. The beds were so comfortable! Tons of pillows plus down comforters equals lots and lots of peaceful zzzzz's.

The next morning we all went downstairs in our pajamas to feast on our favorite "Cooked-To-Order Breakfast" compliments of Embassy Suites. We had eggs, omelets, bacon, cereal, pancakes, French toast, yogurt, English muffins, fruit, juice and coffee. There is such an amazing variety of breakfast options. You are sure to find the perfect start to your day. My kids love being able to serve themselves and go back for seconds and thirds.

Did you know that you can feed the Koi fish at the Embassy Suites? We didn't until a cheerful staff member handed my kids fish food and walked them over to the pond in the center atrium and showed them how to feed the fish. It was awesome! The kids wanted to stay there all day and keep feeding the fish.

The Embassy Suites in La Jolla has a great casual restaurant called indulge that serves continental cuisine for Lunch and Dinner. They also offer a kid's menu and room service. The seating areas are great. I loved the decor and the color scheme. You had your choice of bar height seating, casual seating, lounge style seating or patio seating with a fire pit for those chilly coastal nights.

The Embassy Suites in La Jolla is run by a dedicated staff of kind and attentive people. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with a smile. The hotel manager, Scott, was such a gentleman and really great with my children. Thank you all for treating us like family and showing my kids such a good time. I really loved the late night snack you surprised us with! We will definitely be returning for more of your loving hospitality.

Disclosure: I was not paid or compensated for this post. I was offered a media stay in order to facilitate my review. These are just my two cents.

  1. This looks like it's run the same way as the Embassy Suites we stayed in by Heavenly up at Lake Tahoe. With the added benefit of not being somewhere freezing in the winter!

  3. I love the tagline of your blog. It seems like I always manage to spend all of our money when we travel. It's like they see me coming and know I'll be too embarrassed not to fork over our first born.
