"A Collaboration" of Wines at Whole Foods Market

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a much needed Date Night at Whole Foods Market in Sherman Oaks and we couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the evening than sampling new wines from the "A Collaboration" program. Whole Foods Market has teamed up with some of our favorite Santa Barbara County Wineries such as Hitching Post Wines and Margerum Wines to create an exclusive series of blended wines that are sure to please any palate.
At the "A Collaboration" Wine Tasting we were able to sample six new wines paired up with some mouth-watering dishes served by the fabulous Whole Foods Market chefs. We also heard from a few of the wine makers, such as Roger Higgins from Cimarone Estate Wines, and they shared stories about how they came to make wine and what we can expect from them in the future.

One of my favorite wines of the night was the Collaboration Rose 2010. It's 60% Valdiguie & 40% Pinot Noir which equals 100% Scrumptious! This wine was handcrafted for Whole Foods Market. I love the note on the label of every "A Collaboration" bottle...it reads "One Wine Celebrating a Place, a Story, and the Fruits of our Labor".
My husband fell in love with our Hostess with the Mostess, Shelley from Whole Foods Market! She kept his glass and his belly full which is all he could ever ask for! Thank You Shelley!!! He's still telling our friends and family all about you!

He also spent most of the night sharing stories with Gray Hartley, co-owner of Hitching Post Wines. Turns out they're both from Glendale, CA and both obviously love wine so that's all they needed to know about each other. Come to think of it...if it wasn't for my girl, Heather, I would've spent "Date Night" alone! Thank you so much to Heather for keeping me company and showing me the Smoked Meats! I plan on spending a lot of time in Whole Foods Market from now on.

Below is a video from that night of the wine makers explaining what "A Collaboration" is all about!
