National Train Day with PBS Kids!

National Train Day was May 7th, 2011 and we celebrated it by hanging out with our favorite dinosaur, Buddy, from PBS Kids Dinosaur Train! We spent the entire day over at Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum riding trains, playing with MEGA Bloks, listening to stories and enjoying some live entertainment.

When we first arrived we just had to stop and take a picture with Buddy!

(or tried to!)
Then we were off to the trains! I loved these trains because you're not crammed into a small seat! You straddle the train like riding a horse. My entire family was able to ride very comfortably and the kids loved all the great scenery.

After multiple train rides, we stopped by the Dinosaur Train MEGA Bloks play area and let the kids hang out and build their own trains with all of the Dinosaur Train characters.

We met a bunch of really great families and had some great laughs together! It was a wonderful National Train Day!

The Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum is open to the public every Sunday from 10:45am-3pm (except Memorial Day weekend & the first Sunday in October)
