Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and I am so excited and ready for the festivities! I have an entire afternoon filled with Fun & Food planned out for my kids . As usual, I visited my favorite and most trusted website, Family.com, for all my St. Patty's ideas.

We will start off with an after school snack of Shamrock Toasties:
Now, you don't have to stick to the original recipe. Customize your toasty according to your child's personal preferences. You can use Mozzarella & Green Olives or Cream cheese & Peas or Chives (just toast the bread before you spread the cream cheese!)

To drink with our yummy snack I'm serving Ginger Ale filled with Rainbow Ice Cubes:
Again, the recipe calls for seltzer water, but my kids like ginger ale and I think the goldish color of the ginger ale will make this drink more festive! Kinda like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...get it?

For dessert, we're having these amazing cupcakes called Taste a Rainbow:
You might be looking at this picture thinking, "how the heck can I get all those colors into one cupcake?". Even if you don't think you are a baker, this recipe is super easy to follow. Your kids will think you are bigger and better than Better Crocker!!!

Then finally, to top off our celebration of St. Patrick's Day, we will sit down and make the cutest little Wee Leprechaun I've ever seen!
You can't claim to do crafts at home with your kids if you don't own pipe cleaners & save your toilet paper rolls! This is such a creative and easy project to do. Your children will have a blast and be so proud of their finished project! You don't have to run out and buy supplies that are shown in the instructions. Improvise! Instead of paint, use markers to color the leprechaun's face and clothing. Instead of a decorative button, use a piece of Lucky Charms cereal or just draw a clover onto the hat section. Easy Peazy!
If you need a wee more convincing on how easy these leprechauns are, I included the video to help walk you through it!

Thanks to Family.com for always providing a wide variety of ideas to make any and every holiday tons of fun!
Happy St. Patrick's Day from our family to yours!
