Valentine's Day with Family.com

Now you know I LIVE for Family.com and I utilize this website for every single holiday, birthday and just about any excuse I have to use a theme! With Valentine's Day coming up next week, I found a bunch of great ideas for Valentine's Day cards, crafts and of course recipes.

This is my son's first Valentine's Day in Elementary school and I want it to be very special for him. I remember when I was young, we would tape a brown paper bag at the edge of our desks and all of us students would walk around the classroom dropping Valentine's Day cards into every one's bag. I'm not sure how they do it these days, but I do know that Jackson's school does not like us parents to use candy for Valentine's Day. They are following a healthier options program for the kids and I support our Principal's decisions 100%.

Thanks to Family.com, I have come up with the perfect idea for Jackson's class! I am going to order a red heart-shaped helium balloon for every student in his class. Print out this Winnie the Pooh & friends activity sheet and roll it up like a scroll then tie it to the bottom of each balloon with a new pencil. They will be able to complete these fun activity sheets in class and take home a festive balloon.
Family.com also has printable Valentine's Day cards available in all of your favorite Disney characters. Just print them out and have your child write their names on it! These are just a few of our favorites:

There is also great Valentine's Day fun to be had at home with the kids. My kids love doing themed crafts and I printed a few really fun and easy Valentine's Day crafts. From a Mickey & Minnie picture frame to Mr. Fredricksen's house floating through the sky with heart shaped balloons. Your older kids will love the playing cards craft from Alice in Wonderland!

Disney.com just debuted Minnie Mouse Digital Painter which allows your little artist to create their very own works of art. By using Minnie stamps, paint brushes and spray paint the possibilities are endless!
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
