Doubletree Destinations-Doubletree Guest Suites Santa Monica

There are often times when my family needs to take a break from our hectic routine and take some quality time out for a quick trip to reconnect. We don't always want to travel far because, lets face it, with three young children a long road trip can be stressful. There are so many wonderful destinations in our own backyard. You just have to take the time to do the research. Thanks to Doubletree Destinations, our most recent trip was to the Doubletree Guest Suites Santa Monica. This all-suites hotel is located just blocks away from the beach, Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica Place and Pacific Park.

We stayed in a two-room suite with an amazing ocean view. We could see the Santa Monica Pier from our room! My kids couldn't wait to unpack and head over to the Pier.

The Doubletree Santa Monica offers a Pacific Park Package that includes your room, breakfast and two unlimited rides wristbands for the Pacific Park located at the Santa Monica Pier. We had a blast at Pacific Park. We got on every single ride and played all the games. We even met the Pacific Park Octopus!

My family is very big on breakfast so whenever we are planning a trip we always make sure that the hotel offers a breakfast buffet. Traveling with three picky eaters can be difficult and costly. We've discovered that a buffet offering a wide variety of breakfast options is the only way for us to have a great breakfast without spending a small fortune. The 4th St. Grill offers breakfast, a breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner. I can honestly say that this was one of the best breakfast buffets I've ever had! Cooked to order eggs, french toast, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, juices, fruits, pastries, cereals and so much more. My kids ate until they popped!

I had the pleasure of chatting with Chef Jesse while he was flipping the pancakes and he was so great. Very happy and nice. My son, Jackson enjoyed watching him make the pancakes and he was great with the kids. Even when the buffet area was about to close, he stopped and cooked fresh scrambled eggs for my youngest son. Thank you so much, Jesse! We hope to see you again soon!
After breakfast we walked around the hotel and checked out some of their amenities. They offer an amazing roof top pool that's heated year round as well as a jacuzzi. There's a fitness room that my husband enjoyed working out in and downstairs in the lobby area is a Starbucks Coffee. We relaxed in our room and watched some movies before packing up and heading home. We left the Doubletree Guest Suites Santa Monica feeling refreshed and ready for another busy week.
I have to give a BIG THANK YOU to Tamara McLaughlin for having us. You have a wonderful staff! Everyone from the Valet, the Front Desk, the Grill and house keeping were just a great group of people. Extremely nice and so sweet to my kids. I really appreciate that. We will definitely be coming back to see you all soon!
