Spotlight: Magic Jump Rentals

Have a Magical Celebration with Magic Jump Rentals!

I recently had the pleasure of working with my friends at Magic Jump Rentals to host my daughter's 11th Birthday. Once she picked her Hello Kitty theme, we were ready to start the planning process.

Everybody knows that a party just isn't a party without the right jumper! Sure, you can find a decent bounce house just about anywhere, but when it comes to a quality product, a great variety and excellent customer service, you'll need Magic Jump Rentals!

Magic Jump Rentals helped me make my daughter's birthday party a huge success! She absolutely loved the Hello Kitty jumper they offered. The team arrived on time, set up the jumper and made sure everything was in perfect order before heading out.

The kids had so much fun in the Hello Kitty jumper! We had a hard time getting them to come out and eat, have cake or even whack the piñata! It was actually one of the best parties we have hosted in a while because the adults were able to sit  back and enjoy conversation while the kids played.

As the sun went down and our younger guests began making their way home, it was time for the adults to get in on all of the fun! We literally took over the jumper and had our children screaming in both fear and delight..until Dad came and kicked us all out!

Thank You to Magic Jump Rentals for helping make Mya's birthday so memorable. I think the parents need a do-over though. We didn't get enough time in the jumper!

La Brea Tar Pits!

Going back in time at the La Brea Tar Pits!

A visit to our La Brea Tar Pits is always fun because it gives us the opportunity to travel back in time and get a glimpse of what life was like for our prehistoric friends, the Mammoths and Mastodons.

The La Brea Tar Pits Museum is the most famous fossil dig site to date. Located in the heart of Los Angeles and home to more than 3 million Ice Age specimens. You will find the fossils of Sabertooth Tigers, Dire Wolves, Mammoths and much more.

If you're visiting the museum for the first time, I would definitely stop by the Fossil Lab and witness discoveries being made every day. You can watch as paleontologists clean, study and prepare fossils for exhibits. You will also have the opportunity to chat with these paleontologists and ask them any questions you might have about where fossils came from, how they are discovered and what is the rarest fossil ever found.

The team at the La Brea Tar Pits is currently working on Project 23, a rich deposit that has unearthed Ice Age fossils from extinct animals that were trapped in the asphalt of the Los Angeles Basin over 10,000 years ago. We can't wait to get back and explore these new discoveries!

Boo at the Los Angeles Zoo!

Last weekend, we enjoyed one of our most favorite Halloween Family Traditions!

We were invited to celebrate the opening weekend of
Boo at the L.A. Zoo along with all the little witches, ghosts and skeletons that were ready for some wicked fun!

Throughout the entire month of October, the Los Angeles Zoo invites guests to partake in all of the spooktastic activities that are being offered during Boo at the L.A. Zoo. All of the Halloween themed activities are free with paid Zoo admission.

Costumes are not required, but definitely encouraged and let me tell you, my kids will never pass up an opportunity to wear their Halloween costumes as many times as possible before the big night! On our visit, we grabbed a map and made sure we hit up as many of the eerie exhibits as we could. Our first stop was the Spooky Stroll. We spent the most time here! The Spooky Stroll is full of fun and games for the entire family.

We played Tic-Tac-Toe with mini pumpkins!

We enjoyed the Boo Bag Toss

I stopped for a quick photo with my friend Skully the Skeleton on the Haunted Seesaw!

The best part about Boo at the L.A. Zoo is that all of the regular zoo exhibits are open as usual. Once we finished the fearsome feedings and pumpkin carvings, we walked around the zoo and visited all of the amazing residents.

On weekends at the end of the month, the zoo kicks the frightful fun up a notch! Visit on October 20th, 21st, 27th & 28th for creepy crafts, roaming characters and Trick-or-Treat stations. For ticket prices and hours, visit

Happy Halloween!
