Happy Stacking at STACKED!

Burgers have just reached an all new level at STACKED! I recently took my family out to STACKED in Thousand Oaks to see what all the excitement was about and I am so glad that I did. This place is awesome!

Our server, Mary, was great! She showed us how to order our meal on the iPad and how to send our drinks and appetizer orders to the kitchen first while we were still deciding on our entrees. This is such a great feature! Especially, when you have starving and restless kids at the table.

My kids were so excited to be able to order and customize their food with the iPad at our table. They are picky eaters like most kids are. They also rarely agree to eat at the same place because they each want something completely different to eat. STACKED actually had everything they liked and made it exactly the way they wanted it. This is a dream come true! My husband and I were able to have a nice conversation while the kids were ordering their meals.

Everything arrived at the table exactly the way we ordered it! Mya was so excited to see the salad that she "designed" and she couldn't wait to dig in. Parker was so impressed by his kid's meal that he gave it a "thumbs up".

Our burgers were stacked to perfection! I ordered the Cheesebuger Bytes and they were so delicious. Three mini burgers on brioche buns with all of the dressings on the side so I could enjoy stacking it my way. I even added bacon!

When we saw a Toasted Marshmallow milkshake on the menu we just HAD to order it! I remember seeing a Toasted Marshmallow milkshake on a series that aired on the Food Network channel, but have never been able to find one anywhere local to try. It was just as yummy as it sounds and Mya loved it!

STACKED offers a really great service for hungry customers that have to wait for a table. They have 2 iPads located in the waiting area which allows customers to order their entire meal before their table is even ready. The order gets sent to the kitchen and will be ready and served to you just as soon as you are seated. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?! This is just perfect for parents waiting with hungry kids.

We had such a wonderful time at the Thousand Oaks STACKED. They have a fantastic staff, great location and amazing food. My kids are already asking me when we will go back for more stacking. Thank you so much to Managers, Lindsay and Josh, for welcoming us and making us feel at home. Thanks to our server, Mary, for being so great with our kids and making their first STACKED visit so fun and a BIG Thank You to Bar Manager, Steve, for hanging out with us and sharing some good laughs. We'll see you real soon!

Animals of Summer on Nat Geo WILD!

This Summer, Nat Geo WILD has an awesome line-up of programming called Destination Wild that will premiere on Sunday, July 12th and continue to air new specials EVERY Sunday Night for 12 weeks. Nat Geo WILD is currently the only network that dedicates one night every week to wildlife programming. Destination Wild has something for the entire family to enjoy this Summer. The series kicks off with the Real Angry Birds on July 12th and ends with Land of 10,000 Grizzlies on September 27th.

The Real Angry Birds is inspired by the popular game and No. 1 book. Angry Birds is a fun, addictive game, but the Real Angry Birds are not so fun. See what happens when they get their feathers ruffled and stop being polite. For the aviary set, every day is a battle to survive. They must find food and shelter to stay out of harm's way. Be sure to tune in on July 12th for a bird's-eye view of our feathered friend's fights, singing battles and dance-offs!

Summer Fun at Glow Zone Family Challenge Arena!

The West Valley recently welcomed an amazing indoor facility loaded with attractions for kids of all ages. Glow Zone Family Challenge Arena is located in Woodland Hills, CA and with 9 attractions to choose from, you're sure to find an activity for everyone in your family to enjoy. My boy's celebrated their March birthdays at Glow Zone just shortly after their official grand opening. All of our guests were so excited to check out this new spot!

*I chose not to edit any of the photos so you can see how awesome the black lighting is inside. Wearing Neon shirts really gets you glowing!

My husband purchased Unlimited Access Cards for all the kids and let them take off to enjoy the entire facility at their own pace. We were all over the place! First up, was LA Underground Laser Tag. The parents watched their kids having fun inside the maze from the 4 monitors outside.

Next up, the 405 Bumper Cars!

While the kids ran back for another round of Laser Tag, I attempted to Scale The City Climbing Walls!

Mya and Parker were feeling fearless and decided to take on the Skyscraper Ropes Course!

Anyone up for 18 Hole Glow Mini Golf? Mini golf is even more fun when your golf balls glow in the dark too!

When the kids were all busy doing their own thing, I ducked into the City Vault Laser Maze! I had just as much fun at Glow Zone as the kids did...if not MORE!

Glow Zone even offers an area designed specifically for children ages 7 and under called Soft City. My 2 younger kids loved hanging out here. Their favorite feature was Soft City Cars!

This was definitely one of the best birthday parties we have ever hosted and all of our guests would agree. We can't wait to stay cool this Summer at Glow Zone LA! For more info on Glow Zone Parties, just click here.

Welcome to the Valley Sweet Lady Jane!

Sweet Lady Jane Fine Desserts has been serving the Los Angeles area for over 25 years and I am so happy to welcome them to my side of town! Sweet Lady Jane was founded by local baker, Jane Lockhart, in May of 1988. Known for using only the freshest ingredients and baking everything by hand, Sweet Lady Jane has been featured on the Food Network, KCAL-9 and Access Hollywood.

I recently visited the new Encino location and was in awe of all the beautiful cakes and pastries that are baked fresh daily. There is so much effort put into the design of her cakes. Each one is so different from the other. You will literally be the "hostess with the mostess" when you serve one of Sweet Lady Jane's cakes at your next event.

From cookies to tarts, I couldn't decide on just one delicious treat so naturally I ordered a few of her most popular items. The Key Lime Tart, White Chocolate Janolie, Apricot Almond Bar and Salted Caramel Brownie were my favorites, but the star of the show would have to be her Floral Design Cupcakes! Chocolate or vanilla cupcakes topped with buttercream frosting and decorated using a variety of different elegant floral designs. These are almost too beautiful to eat...ALMOST!

A Summer of Discovery at The Discovery Cube LA!

The Discovery Cube LA has an exciting Summer in store for visitors starting right now! I took my kids to visit the Discovery Cube LA for the first time and I have to admit, I was just as excited to get my hands on the exhibits as my kids were.

First up on our visit was the Animal Grossology exhibit. This exhibit will run until September 7th, 2015 and is just oozing with disgusting science and interactive learning games. My kids absolutely loved this Barf-tastic exhibit! The kids got to meet Malcolm, the Animal Grossology mascot, they participated in a live show on the Discovery Stage, climbed aboard a submarine and much, much more!

Parker was most excited to jump into the Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog exhibit located downstairs next to the Bean Sprouts Café and gift shop. This exhibit is also here for the Summer months and will run until September 7th, 2015. It looked just like the books I used to read to him when he was younger. Complete with Clifford, his dog house, a boat to sail, cooking, watering the flowers, a musical area and so much more. I couldn't get him out of here to keep exploring!

Next up was the awesome LA Kings Science of Hockey exhibit. This entire exhibit was hands on and filled with interactive games for kids and adults. Jackson couldn't wait to give hockey a try. He played goalie and took a turn shooting the puck at a virtual goalie.

We spent the rest of the day trying to explore the entire museum. We took a ride on a helicopter, we journeyed under water, went rock climbing, tested our strength, inspected a house and practiced recycling.

One of their most favorite exhibits at the Discovery Cube LA was shopping at the Discovery Market! They couldn't get enough of this place. Each shopping cart has a built-in game that leads our little shoppers on a healthy shopping spree.

"Grab your cart, aim your scanner and zoom through the aisles in this exciting grocery store game. Learn the importance of making healthy and Earth-friendly choices when you shop. Are you up for the challenge?"

Of course, I had to get in on all the fun! I challenged my kids to see who could complete their list and make it up on the Super Shoppers wall!

Be sure to visit the Discover Cube LA next week for a special Summer Event:
